Ulises Kukulas is one of those entrepreneurs who don’t just build businesses, but lasting relationships. An Argentine born in Buenos Aires to Athenian Greek parents, he has spent more than four decades living in Greece, dedicating his life to a form of tourism rooted in respect, closeness, and a deep human sensibility.
He lived 23 years in Argentina, where he played soccer, worked at the Argentine and Uruguayan consulates, taught Spanish, and developed his entrepreneurial spirit. Before entering the tourism industry, he successfully ran a women’s clothing business featuring Indian-made garments produced in England, building a large and loyal clientele and outperforming many local retailers.
The idea of opening a travel agency came from his mother, a tourism pioneer, and marked a turning point in his life. He began by renting a space and, within a short time, was able to purchase his own building. From the very beginning, his focus was clear: to serve Spanish-speaking travelers with excellence, personalized support, and deep respect for the effort it takes to travel all the way to Greece.
Today, although officially retired, Ulises continues to work with the same passion and warmth as someone just starting out. His agency doesn’t simply offer hotels, Greek islands, and Spanish-language tours, but a complete experience: airport pickup, ongoing follow-up, and direct, personalized attention—even via WhatsApp. It’s no coincidence that many of his clients return two or three times.
Greece—cradle of democracy, art, philosophy, and medicine—continues to see steady growth in Hispanic tourism. Ulises sums it up with pride: the Aegean Sea offers sunny days and turquoise waters that never fail to amaze visitors.
Happy in Greece yet deeply grateful to Argentina, Ulises represents a generation of Hispanics who succeed abroad without losing their roots. His story is proof that when success is built on values, it becomes a legacy.
