Education, leadership, and a vision that positions Latino entrepreneurship in the United States
The year 2025 marked a turning point for the Professional Business Partnership (PBP). It was a period of institutional consolidation, strategic clarity, and conscious leadership, during which the organization reinforced its commitment to the development of Latino entrepreneurship in the United States under a clear and actionable philosophy: Give and Grow. Two milestones marked this year in chronological order: the Business Training in April and the Fundraising Gala where Rick Parker's election was announced, propelling PBP toward a new stage of national impact.
April 2025: purpose-driven business training
In April, PBP held its 2025 Business Training at the United Way of Greater Houston, bringing together entrepreneurs, professionals, and strategic partners for an intensive day focused on real growth, practical skills, and high-value connections.
The event featured Guillermo González Pimiento as the keynote speaker, who presented the conference “Silent Selling in a Noisy World.” His message addressed how to build trust, positioning, and sales results in an environment saturated with stimuli, highlighting the importance of credibility, strategy, and consistency as competitive advantages.
The training also included a presentation by Catalina López, a specialist in communication and digital presence, titled “Strategies that Sell: Communication and Digital Presence for Success in 2025.” Her presentation provided entrepreneurs with concrete tools to strengthen their personal brand, authentically connect with their audiences, and translate visibility into business opportunities. The agenda was complemented with key content on credit, finance and business structure, reaffirming PBP's approach: practical education, networking with clear rules and relationships built on value, not aggressive sales.
An ecosystem aligned with the Latin American economic impact
This training effort responds to a compelling reality. Latinos represent nearly 20% of the U.S. population, contribute approximately 15% of the Gross Domestic Product, and generate more than 3 million jobs. Furthermore, we are the segment with the highest rate of entrepreneurship in the country. However, sustained growth depends not only on individual initiative, but also on access to business education, strategic mentorship, and trusted networks. PBP was born and evolves precisely to meet this need, strengthening the Latin American business fabric through collaboration and professionalization.
The Fundraising Gala: Leadership and a Vision for the Future
The second major milestone of the year was the Fundraising Gala, an event that celebrated the achievements made and marked the beginning of a new stage with the announcement of the election of Rick Parker as the organization's executive leader. This appointment represents an ambitious and clear vision: to position PBP as the most relevant organization in the United States that unites and strengthens Latin American entrepreneurs, aligning economic growth with social impact. From this new stage, PBP reinforces its focus on business education, structured mentoring programs, and a high-quality referral system that raises the standards of traditional networking.
Give and Grow: growing together to contribute more
The Give and Grow philosophy encapsulates PBP's DNA: providing value before asking for it, growing collectively, and generating impact beyond individual gain. Through training, mentorship, and community, PBP aims to help each entrepreneur increase not only their profits but also their contribution to GDP, job creation, and the country's economic development.2025 confirms that PBP is not a directory, but a committed community. A community that understands that leadership, education, and strategic collaboration are the true drivers of sustainable growth for Latino businesses, with the clear goal of doubling its membership and strengthening its strategic alliance with like-minded organizations that consolidate the vision through collaboration and teamwork.
