We would like to begin by expressing our heartfelt gratitude to WoodlandStories Magazine for giving us the opportunity to share our story—and, above all, to invite you to become part of a cause that was born from love.

World Impact Foundation was founded in 2023 by two women with a shared dream: Mónica Tejerina (RIP) and Martha Vega, united by a desire to help children in Colombia and Venezuela who face limited socioeconomic resources and opportunities.

What began as a dream gradually became a reality. Through hard work, joy, enthusiasm, and above all, humility, we have built a mission that today is shared by wonderful people who have joined us along the way, including Jenny Sánchez, Nancy Eslava, Sandra Karr, Sophia Gutiérrez, and Laura Londoño.

Together, we have collected donations, organized shipments, and connected people who want to help with families and communities in need.

We accept toys, new and gently used clothing, school supplies, and other items that can bring a little joy to a child. Every donation represents far more than an object. It represents a smile, a moment of happiness, and the hope of knowing that someone, somewhere, is thinking of them.

From Houston to Communities in Need

Through the generosity of our donors and volunteers, we have been blessed to reach communities across Colombia, including La Guajira, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Caquetá, Bogotá, Gama, Medellín, Armenia, Anserma, and Neiva.

To date, we have distributed toys and clothing to 3,577 children.

Our work has also extended to Venezuela, including support for patients and families at Hospital Antonio Patricio de Alcalá.

This year, we delivered 10 bales of clothing to Montería and provided 100 boxes of assistance following the earthquake.

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of individuals, restaurants, Colombian community groups in Houston and The Woodlands, companies, schools—including Timber Creek and Grand Oaks in The Woodlands—and the Consulate, all of whom have supported our efforts by generously collecting and receiving donations.

Every contribution has helped us reach another child, another family, and another community.

More Than a Holiday Mission

December is a particularly meaningful time for us because it gives us the opportunity to bring gifts and joy to children who need it most.

But our mission does not end in December.

We want to continue growing, reaching more families, and creating opportunities for people who want to turn compassion into action.

That is why today we invite you to join us: Help us help others.

You can become a volunteer, donate clothing, toys, school supplies, or make a financial contribution through Zelle at 832-602-8212.

And most importantly, we invite you to follow us on Instagram: @worldimpactfoundation
