We always have the opportunity to become better.

Friends of WoodlandStories Magazine,

For many people, Christmas and the New Year are times of emotional intensity. Christmas invites us to value what we have and reconnect with what truly matters, while the New Year encourages us to move forward and continue pursuing our dreams.

Both celebrations offer us an opportunity for renewal, each from a different perspective. This closing chapter of the year gives us the chance to let go of what no longer serves us, to learn from our setbacks, and—above all—to savor both the big and small victories that have accompanied us over the past months. The year 2025 arrives with a promise of transformation, but that transformation begins within.

We live in a fast-paced world where we often forget what is essential: human connection. That is why, in this edition of WoodlandStories Magazine, we take time to revisit Christmas traditions from Hispanic America, share insights from an expert psychologist on couple relationships, and tell the life stories of several Latinos whose examples inspire us all.

We are also joined by contributors who invite us to reflect on how to restore peace during Christmas, care for our pets, explore recommendations for investing in condominium properties, enjoy the contribution of beautiful photography, and, of course, delight in our always-beloved gastronomic story.

Thank you all for your support, advice, and encouragement to keep moving forward.

Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2025!

Warm regards,

Patricia Contreras
