CCEATEX: Leadership, Vision, and Community Impact

The Ecuadorian American Binational Chamber of Commerce in Texas (CCEATEX) has established itself, in nearly six years of operation, as a strategic platform for positioning products and services in the highly competitive Texas market. Its mission is clear: to create real opportunities for investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals while strengthening commercial ties between Ecuador, Latin America, and the United States.

Under the leadership of Dr. Mandy Merritt, President and CEO, and with the support of a committed and highly skilled team, CCEATEX has built a strong network of contacts, partnerships, and promotional platforms that today make it a benchmark for management, perseverance, and binational impact.

Among its most notable initiatives is the Tribute to the Latina Woman, held this year on March 5. This event recognizes the fundamental contributions of Latina women in fields such as journalism, education, science, the arts, and business, among others. To date, more than 90 women have been honored through this platform, which not only celebrates distinguished careers but also promotes, inspires, and empowers female leadership across the region. This year, 18 prominent women were recognized for their outstanding achievements in their respective professional fields, during a ceremony attended by distinguished diplomatic, business, and artistic figures.

Another of the chamber’s flagship events is INNOVA XPO TRADE, an annual three-day gathering that brings together Ecuadorian and Latino entrepreneurs and professionals seeking to position their products and services while building strategic alliances and gaining a deeper understanding of Houston’s multicultural market. The expo includes participation from trade missions representing key industrial institutions in the State of Texas, as well as visits to the Port of Houston and distribution centers across Texas, among other activities.

The next edition of INNOVA will take place in May and is once again expected to become a high-value commercial and strategic platform.
